Adapted Aquatics Program

The LABBB adapted physical education teachers believe that students should be exposed to a variety of physical activities throughout the school year.

We feel very strongly that the ability to swim is not only an important skill to master but also an activity our students will continue to perform after they graduate.

We offer a swimming class once a week to each middle school and high school class in the collaborative. Our students are exposed to a variety of stroke development drills and equipment to develop and strengthen technique.

Our goal for every student participating in the swim program:

Student will be able to swim a minimum of three laps the length of the pool.

In order to see that each student is successful, the physical education staff will help each individual by adapting techniques to fit the students ability level.
